The Cows Are Finally Out!!!!

 Hiya everyone!

Wow what a week. I think two seconds ago i was writing the email last Monday and here we are again. Time flies for sure.

Anywho, this week was good!! The sun came out for three days in a row!! That was beautiful, of course it was still cold, but I just felt happier with a shining sun. Also the cows came out!!! So on your way into Beverley, there is a massive pasture, called the Westwood Pastures. And I mean massive, there's four roads into town through these pastures. And the land is owned by the King, and no one is allowed to build on it. And cows roam free. And this week it was warm enough and ready for them to be let free!! So that was fun:)

We had transfer day!!! Lots of driving everyone around but we enjoyed it. Got to see a lot of the missionaries I've served around:)

Made homemade wild garlic pesto for young women's!

Drove our sweet Sister Diven to Ilkley, which took like all of Saturday. Elder Diven was diagnosed with cancer and needed to be treated immediately so they had to be home. They are the sweetest and made such an impact here! Please pray for them:)

The Hull Stake had its 50th anniversary on Sunday! It was amazing. I got to sing in the choir for it. It was just so amazing to hear the history of it and to see that a lot of the members were still there and what not. It was a really sweet night:)

Went to Leeds on Friday to the mission home! That was really sweet.

Sorry this is a shorter email! Transfer week is a lot of the technical stuff with traveling and everything so that's why there's not more to talk about haha

Hope you all have a great week! Love ya!!

Love,
Sis. Jepp:)

The Cats haha, Gert, Gart, Gorg, Gungus, super weird I know, but these are the zone leaders we work with haha, Elder Kerr, and Elder Magnesen

New Talent Unlocked...🍎

 Hiya everyone!!!

This week has been crazy busy and so so good!!! We have got some exciting stuff coming up:)

First things first, I found a new talent!! I can break an apple in half with my head:) I know, I know, how did I find out I could do this? Well, one of the Elders showed us a video of how he did it, and so on exchanges with Sister Pereira and Sister Soares, all four of us learned how to do it too:) you put your finger on top of the apple, like a knife, and then you head butt it haha. I'll send a video if you ask for it:)

Secondly, TRANSFER NEWS!!! I'm staying with Sister sousa in beverley!! Woot woot! But....drumroll please, we are going to be in a trio!!! Training!!! We are getting a brand new sister from the Philippines!! She comes next Tuesday but we are so excited.

Here's some other highlights:

-went on exchanges with Sister Lucas in Harrogate again!! It was so fun. Some some cool miracles and met this sweet guy with the cutest baby ever who was interested:)

-had a really sweet lesson about the Atonement of Jesus Christ with a recent convert Bev:)

- Had the coolest meal appointment with a member who used to be the mission president in Manchester! He had some amazing stories:)

-drove for 8 hours all around on Thursday, driving sisters to Leeds for a doctors appointment, running around there and to york. Madness

-had exchanges with Sister Soares in York on Friday!! Cool story:
Sister Soares is from Portugal and Sister Periera is from Brazil, so they both speak portugese. They have a friend they are teaching that is Brazilian and doesn't speak any English. So when we had a lesson with her on Friday, I couldn't talk to her. But it was the coolest lesson!! All I knew was what Sister Soares was planning on teaching, but as she spoke I knew exactly what she was saying. So much so, that I brought up the exact scriptures and pictures in the moment that Sister Soares spoke about them. I can't even describe it, all I know was that it was the Spirit and it was so strong and the sweet friend was so excited about the Book of Mormon and so captured by what Sister Soares taught!! It was so cool.

-Saturday we had a relief society sisters day for four hours with all the sisters in the stake!! It was so cool, I met a woman that moved from Oregon to England a couple years ago and we just talked all about the differences and America and it was so fun!

-also went to Cristianme's baptism on Saturday!! The sisters in Hull have been teaching him and he has the sweetest testimony!!!

-two of the friends we are teaching were so awesome this week!! They were really pulling from us as we taught them and it was so sweet to see!!

But it was a really good week and so so busy!! I just love it here and love being a missionary!!!

Love,
Sis Jepp:)

I'm sorry but I'm not coming back an English woman,
who coming back a cowgirl:)

Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter everyone!!! Hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating! Easter is probably one of my favorite holidays I've decided. I just love the colors and chocolate and everything haha. But most importantly, it has been so special to focus so much on the Atoning sacrifice and Resurrection of my Savior:) I'm so grateful that He went through what no one else will ever have to go through, for me. For you. And for every single one of us. Because of Him, I am not and never will be alone. Because of Him, I can return back to my Heavenly Father some day. Because of Him, we will live again!!!

This week was great!!! Here's the jist:

-had a Easter egg scripture hunt with the youth. There are only 4 youth but it was actually really fun!!

-had we exchanges on Thursday with Sister Hritz! We went to Jacobs well which us a big organization that collects and ships big containers to Ukriane, Maldovia, and other countries that need it. We got to pack shoeboxes for kids

-had a Easter Fireside on Friday night that me and Sister sousa sang a duet at. It was alright haha. Not many people came, but 4 of our friends and 2 of our recent converts came so it was worth it

-went on an exchange with Sister Raymundo on Saturday! We went to Hornsea and walked around the coast for a bit finding:)

-Easter Sunday we had church and visited 3 of our friends:) and had tea with the cutest 80 year old couple:)

-got lunch with the Harrogate sisters! It was so nice, we took pizza to the park and it was sunny! And warm!! So we left our coats in the car, being totally fooled and kind of got cold because we were too excited.

-passed out a bunch of flyers in the neighborhoods right by the chapel for the Easter fireside and service and got called brainwashed for the silliest reason haha. It was very entertaining. This guy starts going off and he makes absolutely no sense. And then calls us brainwashed. Some people just can't bash properly. If you are going to bash, at least have some sort of a valid argument. But nope, he made zero sense. Oh fun.

But yea, it was a quick but good week:) I can't really remember everything but there ya go!  Hope you all have a great week!

Love,
Sis. Jepp:)

wow...just wow....

 Hiya everyone!!!

This week was absolutely insane. And absolutely amazing...Wow...just wow...

There are many things I am grateful for this week!! The number one thing I am grateful for is temples!!! I got the opportunity to go to the temple for the first time in about 10 months. It was so amazing!! I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and for His perfect example.

Another thing I am so grateful for is general conference!! What a beautiful opportunity it was to hear from our prophet President Nelson and the apostles and leaders of the church. I know that President Nelson is the living prophet of the living Christ.

Here are the ins and outs of the week:

-played ultimate frisbee for pday! And it was beautiful and sunny, warmest day of the week

-had some swiss cheese fondue just like they do at ski resorts there, curtesy of Helen Smith who has traveled the world. She's an idol to me. She and her friend will just go and travel ANYWHERE, and one time they just like got lost in Istanbul and decided to make an adventure out of it. Helen is 65 and her friend is 75. I want to be like them some day

-Thursday, halfway through the day we got a call and some sisters needed an emergency mini exchange because they were having a hard time. So we just went and i played basketball for like an hour because it was how this sister could let out all her steam haha. it was fun.

-Got home late Thursday night because of that, and had to go early Friday morning to Scunthorpe for exchanges with those sisters!!!

-I was with Sister Warner and it was so fun! She is a really hard worker and we didn't stop moving the entire day, it was crazy. and we walked everywhere, but we saw some cool miracles!!

-got back late Friday night and had to wake up at 4:30 the next morning to go to the temple!! Helen Smith took us! See, legend. It was such a good day!! I just love the Preston, England temple!!

-and then we came back and had general conference!! We watched a session with the Hull sisters which was really fun! But yea! The rest of it was taken by general conference which was SO AMAZING!! But also the last sesion gets over at 11pm each night so I am completely drained right now haha

Weekly Funnies:

-alrighty, first, we got a flat tire. Well, punctured tire. The PSI kept dropping a ton so we decided to figure out why. We took of the tire, put dish soap on, and sure enough, punctured tire. So then we put the spare on and we are getting it fixed soon. Can I just point out that we changed it all by ourselves!!!! Yes, it did take two of us pushing and pulling with all our strength to get a bolt loose but hey we did it. I did get a blood blister too, but hey we did it!

-this is SO BAD. so on exchanges with Sister Warner we went to a tea apt and the lady brought out dessert. It was stewed plums with ice cream on top. And as I am eating my ice cream, i notice that it's really bitter and doesn't taste normal. I look at sis Warner and she has already eaten a lot of it, so I am like ok...but then I look at the ice cream tub and what does it say? Yes, liqour infused ice cream, 2.9% alcohol volume. Bourbon Whiskey, 7.2%. Now i don't know what those numbers mean, all i know is that we were eating alcoholic ice cream. And yea, sister warner was about to fall over, but she grabbed the table, her family has a very low alcohol/caffeine tolerance so even the tiniest bit wrecks them. Well apparantely, same with me. We both were gone. We were laughing so much and my head just hurt so bad. So I wouldn't say we were drunk...just maybe tipsy? I am not really sure. All i know is that I did NOT feel good and apparently I was a little crazy haha. oh my...never thought that would happen

but yea, crazy week. So so good!!!

I love you all and hope you had a great week!!

Love,
Sis Jepp:)
