Summer, Sunshine, and SO MANY MIRACLES

Oh my. it is a good time to be a missionary let me tell you. I am extremely happy here and just so grateful for all the amazing people I have met on my mission!! What a blessing!!

Hope you all are doing fantastic and enjoying summer!! Fun fact, nobody gets out of school here until like July 21st, so it is weird to see all the school kids still while it feels like summer. It is finally getting hot and it is just so nice.

Anywho... here's some random things:

-for our pday we went to a place called Chinese Laundry, which is a trendy store here and just has fun things to look at and try on

-had another open house this week, a couple of our members came, but we have four people hopefully coming tomorrow!!

-had mission leadership council this week which meant I got to go to the Clares home!! It was so fun!

-Painted a fence and another house this week, I am telling you. It's my destiny.

-had exchanges with Sister Warner in Beverley! She is so awesome and just a powerhouse. We had a really good time doing service and out talking to people:)

-also went finding with Sister Crook and Sister Goodlet in Scunthorpe and took them out to lunch:)

Ok, ok, now for the coolest miracles of the week:

Miracle 1: It was Sister Crook's birthday on Saturday and she said a prayer that morning asking that for her birthday all she wanted to do was to find someone to teach. So, me and her went to a neighborhood they prayed about and we started knocking doors. The second door in...you guessed it. Ellis. The guy that we taught for the next 20 minutes, right there on his doorstep, all about the restoration and who Christ is. It was just beautiful and an answer to prayer. Sister Crook told him he was an answer to her prayer and he said, ''That's no coincidence.'' It was so cool! So pray for Ellis!!

Miracle 2: After we were coming back late from a service project, we only had about 30 minutes to go finding before we had an hour of tea and personal study and another meeting. But we knew that we can give our all to Him and He would magnify our efforts. So off we went. And who do we meet? The sweetest older lady named Irene who let us in to her house and let us talk to her about what we believe for the next hour and a half. And we are coming back this coming week and she wants to come to church!! It was beautiful! And even though we missed most of tea and personal study, it was just so amazing! A miracle for sure!!!

But yea, I would say that this week has been pretty amazing and people are amazing. Time is continually flying by at 10000 miles an hour but I am soaking up every minute I have!!!

Have so much joy this week!

Love,
Sis Jepp:)

Last week with Sister Sousa:(

 Hiya everyone!!

Wow what a jam packed week this week. All the emotions were felt this week. It was transfers!!! We found out transfer news on Tuesday night and then transfers were on Thursday!

So here's the news: I am still in Beverley!! Fourth transfer! They are my family here so it's ok, I think I have about 25 adopted grandparents haha. And I got a new companion! Her name is Sister Wight, she is from Layton, Utah. She is way cool! We have been having a really good time and we are similar in a lot of ways so it is good:)

BUT, obviously that means that Sister Sousa got transferred:( It was SO sad. We have been together for about 4 and a half months and it was just devastating to say goodbye. I love her so much and she has taught me so much!! It is okay, we are eternal best friends, so it wasn't a goodbye, we will still see each other again.

Here's the week for you:

-last pday this transfer meant a BBQ and bowling! It was pretty fun!!

-Tuesday was a crazy day!! We are starting to have open houses once a week for chapel tours and a presentation and so this was our first one! It truly felt like Satan was against us because everything was falling apart that morning and we were trying to get everything done before our lessons that were one right after the other that day. But God does always win, and it always works out because we were able to be completely ready at 5 for the open house!! Sadly, no visitors came, but our Bishop and his wife did and one other member and it was really sweet! They were so excited and talking to people on the street in the front of the chapel with us. So even though no one came in this time, we talked to a lot of people and got the support of our Bishop and members here!

-Wednesday we had our last district council and goodbyes for Sister Sousa. We had a relief society garden party that was very cute. I will send a picture, it is extremely English ahh

-Thursday was taxi driving day!! I didn't get any tips haha. But yea, we drove everyone around and saw everyone at the institue building in Leeds. It was sad to say goodbye to the missionaries I have been serving around for 3 transfers but hey, that's a mission.

-that night we helped the 4 Hull sisters get all moved in and then we were all starving so we went to Subway... I am not sure I told you all about the chavs, but they are like the knuckle head teenagers that all wear the same thing, smoke and vape and just cause a ruckus all around town. But they are pretty harmless, they just act all talk haha. But anyway, a big group of them were in Subway and were being dumb, and as we walked out they were all like standing right there. So we had to walk through a tunnel of them haha, but one of them said, "oh, my girlfriend Jess, Peggy, Mary...etc.. naming all 6 of us as we walked out. I think I was girlfriend Sue. Hahahahha it was funny. Oh those chavs

-OH AND GUESS WHAT, Sister Wight LIKES TO RUN!!! LIKE OH MY THIS WAS AN ANSWER TO MY PRAYERS!! We have run every day!! It has been a dream and I am super out of shape, but no worries. I get to run!!

-We went back and visited our friend Seyi!! She was so sweet and just talked and taught her for so long! She is really pulling from us and is prepared!! She wants us to come back too!

-we cleaned the font to prepare for the open house. Used some dangerous chemical and bleach and put gloves on our feet for protection

-we got a referral from a member and we called them and we were talking and they were super strong in their faith, but was fine with us dropping up some resources. So I was like, "can we come....now?!" just like that. And he was like ya! SO we went and had an amazing conversation for about 45 minutes and gave him a Book of Mormon! It was beautiful

-Also we talked to some really cool people this week!! We just met them all knocking doors and they are going to come to the open house.

All in all, miracles are happening. And we have been praying and working so hard to find those that are ready to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ. And this week was a testimony of that. People are being prepared, and Christ is gathering His sheep. People are just so nice and it is unreal how many people we have had positive interactions with this week that can and will lead to more. I am so grateful to be a missionary and I just love it here!!!

Love,
Sister Jepp:)

Munch, Munch, Munch

 Well hello everybody!!!

This past week was so good!!! God is so good and we have just been able to talk to so many people this week! So many families too that we are going back to visit so that's exciting. I know that we are being led by Him and that the gathering of Israel IS taking place:)

Here's some joyous things of the week:

-we went to Whitby!!! Which is the cutest coastal town ever. It is what inspired Dracula and what have ya. but lucky for us, it was a perfectly sunny day and just so much fun. We went with all the sisters in my zone! lots of pictures this week:)

-I got to go on exchanges with Sister De Guzman!! She has grown so much and it was just so much fun to be with her again. We knocked on a lot of doors that day:)

Favorite scripture of the week:
Mosiah 4:9: "Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend."

We may not understand all that is happening to us, or how God is shaping us. But He knows us, and He knows all things, and we just have to trust in Him:)

Ok so here's the funny stuff, aka car problems:

-so FIRST, this week we found out that we had a broken dipstick, so the office Elders came and gave us a new one. While they were putting it in, they found that there was NO OIL, like not even a drop. And that's why Bert was shaking and having a hard time haha, so they put new oil in. We had to walk to our tea appointment while they did all that and when we got back, to our pleasant suprise we found our Bert with new oil, but also a new scent. The Elders had cologne bombed our car and it now smells very strongly like a man, actually a chav wearing lynx Africa haha. Oh Elders.

-then SECOND, the next day we were going to visit a friend in Aike, a village in the middle of nowhere, with a one lane country road and a couple passing places. Well before I could get to the passing place, an ambulance came lights a flashing towards me and i couldn't get by. So they waved me to go around them so I had to go in the grass, and subsequently the hidden ditch as well which Bert MUNCHED, it was super sad. I'll send a pic of the wreckage haha

But yea, that was my week:) and transfers are this week! I'll find out tomorrow what happens:):):)

Love you all!

Love,
Sis Jepp:)
