I Am Blessed and Highly Favoured

This week has been pretty hot out here in California haha. My hair ends up in a ponytail after about ten mins of knocking doors. But I love it here so much!!

Here are some highlights:

- one of the members in our ward, Sister Spoerl is so so amazing! She's so enthusiastic about life and the gospel and loves to share it. We went by her house to share a message and she taught us more than we taught her. She said that when people ask her how she is, she always says, "I am blessed and highly favored." She's not just "good" because to her, "g.o.o.d." means "Getting Out Of Debt". And Jesus Christ has already paid that debt for us. So she thanks God everyday that she woke up that morning and considers herself blessed. I loved that!!

-We had really good lessons with our friends this week. The Spirit is always so strong and they have been able to recognize the truth of our message by the spirit which is so cool! Goes to show that we aren't the teachers. The Spirit is:)

- Thursday was sister T's birthday! It felt like mine though because we got my favorite ever, SUSHI!! so thankful that sister t's bday pick for lunch was also my favorite. Haven't had sushi in a bit:)

- I got to go on exchanges with Sister Jones and we had a miracle filled day! We made three new friends and talked to so many people. She's a great example to me of being bubbly and cheerful and not being afraid to talk to every single person we see.

- on exchanges with Sister Jones we had the coolest experience! A couple weeks ago we met this girl and her grandmother who moved here from Egypt 6 months ago. They barely speak English but they were so nice! I felt to ask the mission office for an Arabic Book of Mormon and we got one! So on Friday we were able to go back to this family and we gave them the Book of Mormon! It was so awesome because they were very excited and were asking questions and told us they would read it. Even though there is a huge language barrier, the spirit was so strong and it's just a testimony to me that the church is for EVERYONE!!

-we had a stake pioneer barbecue on Saturday which was super fun. And our friend Grace came!! That was a miracle because she hasn't been wanting to come to anything lately:)

This week I've just been so grateful to be on a mission. I have learned so much and my testimony continues to grow everyday. It's the coolest experience being able to meet people from all different backgrounds and just share a message that is meant for everyone. I truly feel that God loves every single one of His children equally and He has given us the gospel of Jesus Christ so that we can return to Him someday. Jesus Christ is our Savior, our Redeemer, and our Exemplar and in the words of the apostles, "God be thanked for the matchless gift of His divine Son." -The Living Christ

I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY WOOT WOOT!

Love,

Sis Jepp:)

Have you ever had someone fall asleep while they GAVE the prayer?

This week flew by in the blink of an eye.

And no I'm not turning into a poet haha, jk jk.

Anyways here's the highlights from this week:

- I had exchanges with Sister Linton again on Tuesday and it was so fun!! She's the best and I love her so much. Definitely have learned so much from her and have become close fast. We had five lessons in a row which was so tiring but awesome!!

- One of the lessons will explain the title haha. We were teaching Mel, who is in a nursing home and she is the sweetest. She invited two of her friends to come listen to us teach her from the Book of Mormon picture book. Well, her meds make her fall asleep super fast, so during the lesson she fell asleep about six times. We would have to talk a little loudly and then she'd wake up. Well we asked her to say the prayer and yea...she fall asleep twice during it!! It was the longest prayer haha, good thing we were wearing masks because i was trying not to laugh so hard. I made the mistake of looking up and seeing her dead asleep and almost burst haha. Good times.

- this is not a highlight, but it's funny so I'm adding it. Our friend in our complex asked us to clean her mom's bathtub, so we said sure for service. Bad idea. It was so nasty and it took us an hour just to scrub the tub haha. Thank goodness we didn't have to clean anything else.

- COOL EXPERIENCE: We have a new friend named Crystal who is the sweetest and she has the cutest little boys. We invited her to our relief society summer fun activity and she said yes!! She's from the Philippines and guess who the first two people she met at the activity were. Two sisters in the ward also from the Philippines!! They hit it off great and become close the rest of the night. Then we introduced her to two other sisters who had sons that we the same ages as crystles!! They were all so inviting and we left the activity earlier than Crystal did! She had a blast and it totally goes to show that members are SO important!!

- Another neat experience. Thursday was a slower day and we were knocking on doors for about three hours or so. Then after dinner we went back out and we were hoping to just make one new friend that day. We'll we just trusted that if we had patience, we would be blessed and we did! The very last jouse we knocked on that night was someone who we'd met before but hadn't gotten a return apt. But we prepared a message and went to the door and she was so receptive!! We shared about the restoration and the Book of Mormon and the Spirit was so strong!! And she said we can come back! That was super awesome and was a small miracle this week:)

- Made the best ever chicken taquitos and accidentally tripled it and got 30 taquitos haha, luckily the Elders devoured about 10 of them in five minutes for us

- also we low key stalked this guy, trying to casually talk to him and it paid off! He was super nice and interested to learn more:)

- Our friend Jonathan came to church again!! He loves it!!

Hope everyone has a great week!!
Love,
Sis Jepp:)

First Zone Conference and Zone Exchange:)

 Hello everyone!!

This week has been a fantastic week, but I mean every week is fantastic because I am a missionary!!

Here are a few highlights:

-We got to end the Fourth of July with watching fireworks!! We got to sit on top of this wall and watch them with all the elders

-Had my first zone conference on Wednesday which was super awesome. I love my mission President! We had a really powerful testimony meeting at the end, and we all just shared our testimonies of Jesus Christ. It was amazing!!

-I got two packages from my mom and it made me so happy. It was cleaning supplies and protein shakes! Our apartment is pretty nasty, so today I went to town on deep cleaning that thing. Shoutout to my parents for teaching me how to deep clean the house all growing up. It paid off today!

-Went to Mod pizza for our district lunch on Friday! It was awesome.

-We had zone exchanges on Saturday and I got to be with Sister Madsen who is the sweetest!!

- We had a couple great lessons with our friends Christina and Jonathan, they are the best!!

- Today we went to this really cool marketplace with the yummiest food places ever! And then we ended with free slurpees from 7 Eleven!! Cause it's 7/11!!

Anyways, it has been a great week and such good times out here!

Love you all!!

Recognizing God's hand and the BEST surprise!

 Hello everyone!!

Still loving it out here in good Ol Cucamonga:)

This week was very busy and through it all I saw God's hand in everything we did, everyone we met and taught, and the little blessings. It is the best being a missionary, and my favorite part is helping others on their path towards God by turning to Christ.

Here's some highlights of the week:

-i had my first exchanges with my STL, Sister Linton!! She came to my area and I got to lead it and show her around. We talked to sooooo many people and had a really good couple of lessons

-On Thursday, me and Sis. T. set goals to purify our desire for teaching others, not just to help them get baptized and have our numbers go up, but instead to teach them so they can truly become converted and experience the joy of the gospel. It was amazing to see the results because that night we helped the people we are teaching progress a lot! It's so cool to see others recognize the light of Christ in their lives!

-Sunday our friend Jonathan came to church!! We were so excited and he absolutely loved it! He stayed for the second hour and everyone was so welcoming and he wants to come back:)

-And here comes the SURPRISE!! As church was just starting, i look over and who walks in!?! Rocia, Rockwell, and Charlotte Lake!!! From my hometown!! I was so shocked but so so so happy! They were on vacation and then they came and found me, it was awesome. It made my week!! Love them so much.

-For the fourth of July, all the missionaries in my zone, so 12 of us, went and got food, walked around bass pro shops, and played some sports at the church. So it's been a pretty good fourth:)

Overall, I have seen God's hand in my life as He has helped me gain more courage to talk to people, know the right thing to say, and helped me to love and serve every single day. As I try and recognize the miracles in my life, I have come closer to God and my Savior Jesus Christ!

Happy fourth of july!!

Love,
Sis Jepp:)
