The cold water strikes back...

 Hiya everyone!!!

This week was super good! It went super fast too. Here's what's happening in Bradford these days:

-went to Malham Cove for pday. it was a beautiful spot to hike

-had my last zone conference this past Tuesday!! It is crazy to see how fast the time goes. It was Sister Natasan's first one and my last. Craziness.

-got the giggles pretty badly at a tea appointment with sweet Carol haha. pro tip to the future missionaries out there, do not sit across from your companion at a tea apt. the facial expressions will send you off to giggles haha
-had some really good lessons with our friends!!

-had the open house, but only two members came, they asked some tricky questions though to help us roleplay, it was fun:)

-helped a member move

-had a ward trunk or treat!! We helped carve pumpkins with all the kids

-had two of our friends come to church on Sunday!

-got lunch with Sister Wade and Sister Ford:)

-obsessed over the fall leaves

and that's about it!! oh yea, and guess what. remember last year when we didn't have hot water for about 3 months? well, the cold strikes back, we have had no hot water since Wednesday, very unfortunate I tell ya haha. But it builds character:)

Hope you all have a great week!!

Love,
Sis Jepp:)

They couldn't keep me off the streets for long...

 Hiya everyone!!

Yes the rumors are true.  Sister Jeppson is back on the roads. Back behind the wheel. Did we convince the office Elders that we needed a car? Oh yes we did, I can put up a pretty good convincing argument if I do say so myself. I am my father's daughter after all:)

No, but actually the car is a heaven sent blessing!! This car is waiting to be sold right now, so it was just sitting in the mission office, so they decided to give it to someone. And because we have been very busy, and it can be a lil unsafe here nowadays, they gave us a car! Which has been absolutely wonderful! We call him Ricardo, and he keeps us nice and safe and warm.

But we had a super busy week this past week!! Had so many lessons and it has just been joyous to see our friends continue to progress and to learn who God is for themselves.

We taught a lot of lessons about the doctrine of Christ this week. Which is so simple and beautiful. As we have faith in our Savior Jesus Christ, we trust in Him wholeheartedly. We have the desire to rely on Him and to follow Him. And as we exercise faith in Him, we have the desire to repent. What a blessing it is that we can become changed through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. That is what repentance is. Then, as we come to Him, we are baptized in His name, just as He was. We make those promises with God that we will continue on in faith and repentance and to follow Him. Then we are blessed with the gift of the Holy Ghost. As we live worthily, we are able to have the Comforter as our constant companion. And we are asked, after all of that, to continue on, to "press forward with a steadfastness in Christ and a perfect brightness of hope and a love of God and of all men", enduring to the end.

I am so grateful for the simplicity of the gospel. But most importantly for my Savior Jesus Christ. For He truly is the only way that this is all possible. He is the way and the truth and the life. I am so grateful for the knowledge of these things. For how it gives me the desire to believe and to act in faith. To become all that God needs me to become.

I also wanted to paint the picture of the joy moment I had this past Sunday. Two of our friends came to church!! It was wonderful. One of our friends, has a 5 year old boy who is nonverbal, in a chair and he was so sweet. Our friend was nervous to bring him to church because he can be loud, but everyone in the ward just welcomed her and made her feel so comfortable! It was great.

Ok, here is the scene. The second hour was relief society (womens meeting) And as I am sitting there in the lesson I realize a few things that brought me to tears. Here I was, sat in the cultural hall in a chapel in England. Surrounded by amazing women who have so faithfully chosen to come to church. I was sitting in between one of our friends that doesn't speak a ton of English, and our sweet Maxine, who was baptized a month ago. In front of me to the right was our other friend, my sweet companion, and one of the members that has just recently started to come back to church after not being here for a while, and we have been reteaching her. And to the left of me, was our three sisters sitting around another deaf sister, and all of them were signing to her. None of them having learned BSL professionally, but all have been trying to learn it to include this sweet sister in all of church. And around me, the rest of the room was filled with older sisters, and young young moms with the cutest babies. It was just a tender mercy to me, to see this gathering of women, from all over, from all different walks of life, united under one purpose. The Spirit was very strong and just testify that we truly are all sons and daughters of a loving Heavenly Father.

Love,
Sis Jepp:)

Heading into the last transfer...

 Hiya!!

Wow, lots and lots and lots of things happened this week!! So many exciting things, I don't even know where to start. First off, it was transfer week!! And drumroll please.... I'm staying in Bradford!! I'm dying here (finishing my mission) haha. And I got a new companion!! Her name is Sister Natasan, fresh out of the MTC:) She is from Durban, South Africa!! She is the coolest. I love her so much already.

Alright, lets get into it:

-for pday we went to the Cow and Calf Rock climbing quarry. It just made me so happy, even though I wasn't allowed to actually rock climb. We took some cool pictures, so head down below haha

-we had amazing lessons with all of our friends this week!! P wants to get baptized on November 18th! And another one of our friends wants to get baptized as well!! It is just so amazing

-Thursday was transfer day and I got to see all my best friends! It was the best. My comp didn't get here until Friday, so I was in a trio with Sister Kitchen and Sister Goodlet for the night.

-we had our open house on Thursday, and me a the two sisters were walking by and I felt like we should talk to the guy on the bench. Started talking and turns out he was headed to our open house! So we went and toured him around!! And the thing is, with the rules and what not, we had to invite the elders too, but they were in quad for a night, so there were 7 missionaries and this one guy haha. But he wasn't intimidated at all, and it ended up being perfect and exactly what he needed. So that was super happy.

-Friday I picked up Sister Natasan!! And we have been so busy ever since!! We went to go teach a lesson, within 10 minutes of her being in the area. and it went fantastic. I just know that she is exactly where she is supposed to be because this area needs her! We taught five legit lessons in three days, and so it is so cool that she is so ready to just jump in and teach! I love the fresh missionary spirit!! It is the best.

-We had the primary presentation on Sunday and it was so cute to see all the little kids singing. There is a deaf couple in our ward, and two of the songs, they all signed in BSL. I love how inclusive the gospel is. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is for EVERYONE!!!!

-We met with four different families from Nigeria this week they really do love to feed you haha, spicy food as well:)

-There is just so much more to say, but that will have to do for now haha

Love you all!!

Sis. Jepp:)
