!¡!¡ONE WHOLE YEAR!¡!¡

WOW!! WHAT A WEEK!! AND WHAT A YEAR!!!

hiya everyone!! I'm just blown away right now haha, I can't believe it's been a whole amazingly beautiful year since I got to put on my nametag for the first time. I've been reflecting, which is dangerous, so bear with me haha. Just kidding, but I'll let you know the happenings of the week first:)

-First mentionable thing: THE SUN WAS OIT AND IT WAS WARM! First time I've been actually affected by the sun since last August haha. I could a lil burn/tan and it felt amazing

-we had district council outside in the sun because every missionary is trying to soak it all in

-painted a staircase, wall and landings. Then painted someone else's room. It's my side job here actually. I'm a painter, our company is called Jepp&Sou haha.

-we went to Jacobs well and packed 35 shoeboxes for Ukraine

- had exchanges with Sister Periera!! She's so cool and we had a great time!!

- visited our friend Seyi this week and it was so cool!! We got to talk to her about her questions and answer them! Her little 4 year old boy was the cutest and we talked about working out for like 25 minutes. He was showing me his burpees and made me time his pushups haha it was so cute. But we are going to come back and read the Bible and Book of Mormon with her!!

-talked to a lot of cool people this week and visit our other friend who is going to let us come back and teach him again!

-had lunch with Sister De Guzman and Sister Wade at Nandos! It's very popular here.

-had stake conference this weekend and Elder Craig of the 70 came:) it was really sweet!

-because of stake conference we had a 6 person sleepover in the Hull sisters flat, that used to be the senior couples home. So they had 3 floors and a pool table and lots of good stuff. We all slept on mattresses in the living room. It was a blast:)

-OH also we had york stake pday and I taught them spicy uno and it was hilarious. Got some elders pretty mad haha. They couldn't take the heat haha. I did win, but I think they all think I'm cheater. I'm not, I promise haha.

Ok, so now for the reflection:)

If I could sum up the past year in a simple phrase it would be,

"All these things give thee experience and shall be for our good".

Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of us so much. All He wants for us is to return to live with Him again someday. And He knows us. He knows who we were before this life. He knows who we are now and who we can become. And He gives us everything so that we can become exactly who He needs and wants us to become.

But we have to let Him. And that is what I have been learning this past year. We will go through hard times. I've experienced things I never thought I would. And although I don't ever wish to go through then again, I'm grateful for them. Because I have been stretched and molded by God through them and I'm so grateful for the hard times. For the good times. For the sad times. And for the happy times. And for just all the times. Because they truly have been for my good and I wouldn't trade any of them.

My favorite song is "Come thou font of every blessing". And my favorite line is "take my heart and seal it for thy courts above". And I've learned that in order for Him to take our hearts, we have to be willing to give it to Him. To give Him everything. And it is truly humbling to see the blessings and miracles that come as I have tried to give Him my all. My heart. My mind. My might. My strength. My everything.

Heavenly Father wants to bless us. He wants us to have joy. And that is through His Son Jesus Christ, who is the Master Healer. I love my Savior, and I'm so grateful for how I have come to know Him so that I might know my Father. Because it is only through Christ that we reach our Father in Heaven.

I promise you that God knows you. He knows everything that you are going through and He is shaping you for your good. But He's not letting you go through it alone. Christ suffered for us so we don't have to suffer alone. He is with us. Of this, I know to be true. There is nothing that will ever shake my testimony of this. Jesus Christ IS my Savior and all I want to be able to do here and forever is to help turn and guide people to their Savior. In the name of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ, amen:)

Love you all!!

The Bands Broken Up:(

 Hiya everyone!!!!

So sad news, we lost Sister De Guzman! One of the sisters in the mission went home because of health issues and so her companion got Sister De Guzman. It was really sad, but also we still get to see her like 2 times a week at least so that's way nice. She's the best!

In other news, here's the happenings of the week:
- we had Hull stake pday this week!! So that means 6 hours of straight volleyball, chair football, spikeball, and football. It was SO FUN!!!

-had exchanges with Sister Crook! She's in Scunthorpe and we had a blast. She is so sweet and we had a good time and talked to some cool people!!

- also had exchanges with Sister Tijssens in Harrogate! She's the coolest ever. She literally has already done so much and was ground control at an airport and a sushi chef. So like the coolest ever.

-got to do some weed whacking this week. They call it a strimmer haha, I got to wear this cool suit thing and I looked like the Michellin man haha. Also it was gross because the weeds were to my knees and I for sure saw the longest worms that got sprayed all over me haha, nasty

-dropped off the Sister that was going home in Leeds and got to talk to Sister Clare, the mission presidents wife, she's the BEST!

-painted some houses this week, I'm telling you, I'm going to be a painter for my profession

Also, I haven't really told you fun facts about England so here ya go:

The King owns all of the swans in the UK, so if you hurt or kill one you get this massive fine.

Fun saying, "Bless his cotton socks"

The fruit and vegetables go bad really fast here haha

Most people drive manuals here. So all the British missionaries always think driving automatics are so boring haha

A favorite breakfast and food here is Beans on Toast, I think its nasty.

You can only buy scissors if you are 21

Pubs are normal eating places during the day, then at night they become a bar/night life. So yes, I've eaten in a couple pubs.

All the washing machines are in the kitchen in flats.

For all the outlets, there is a switch to turn on the outlet, you can't just plug it in

There is no AC in most places, and they have radiators, not heating systems

Slang terms:
Pang, means you're pretty
Lang, means you're out of this world beautiful

You have to put a pound coin in to get a shopping cart, then you get it back at the end

Eggs aren't refrigerated here. Bread is.

That's all I got for you today folks, love you all!!!

Love,
Sis Jepp:)

Exchanges with Sister Crook! Also means riding the bus:)

Weed whacking:)

Sister Yeppson

 Hiya everyone!!!

Hope everyone had a fantastic week! Mine was crazy and good!! Lots of good things happened.

I've gotten many nicknames on my mission, Sis Jepp, Sister J, Supergirl, Elder Jeppson, Elder Jeppy, and now Sister Yeppson. There's an elder from Sweden and he pronounces the "J" as a "Y", and my companion met him very first in the mission before meeting me, and only knew me as that. So she now continues to call me Sister Yeppson. Its hilarious.

Anywho, down to business:

- we had zone conference this week which was fantastic!!!

-the sun came out and we did our studies in the park!!

-painted Book of Mormon covers with our friend:)

-went on an exchange with Sister Voncken in York!! I'm in love with York and Sister Voncken is the coolest ever!! We did a service project all morning and then had a cool lesson with a lady named Nirmala

-went to lunch with Sister Crook and Sister Warner! Then after all 5 of us went finding in the same neighbourhood and met some cool people!!

-definitely didn't speed to zone conference because we were late. And definitely didn't get a couple "check your speeds" and "aggressive driving" from tiwi

-painted a shed

-went to Peter's baptism in Scarborough!! He's so cool and it was sweet to see!

- COOL STORY ALERT:

We were deciding where to go finding and a specific street came into my mind and i knew we had to go there. So I told my companions and they had thought the same street. So off we went. And there we met Shae. She's the coolest!!! We talked to her about the restored truths we know to be true and what we believe and she said she believed the same things!! And she was excited for us to come back. After we went to her house we went to go knock on the next door, but Shae came back out of her house and said "come back, i have a question". Then continued to ask us all about life after death and what happens to us. It was so cool to see her truly pulling from us! We taught her about the Plan of Salvation and directed her to Alma 40-42 and gave her a Book of Mormon. She was excited to learn and read about it!! So cool!!

But yea! It was a really good week and I just continually am in awe that I am here in the most beautiful country, doing my favorite thing, helping others come unto Christ. What a blessing and an absolute joy it is!!

Love,
Sister Yeppson

Long Live King Charles!!!

Hiya everyone! God save the King!!!!

Yep, you heard it, the coronation of King Charles was this Saturday!!! It was SO COOL! I feel lucky to be in this country at such a historical moment in time:) we were able to watch it on Saturday and honestly I was only thinking about Princess Mia getting coronated as Queen of Genovia hahaha. But this was real and SO COOL!!!!

we got to watch jt with the other missionaries and then had lunch after. And score, I found A&W rootbeer at a petrol station and brought it:) I've made friends with the guy there and he laughs because we always go there and buy sugar. Also, fun fact, British people don't like root beer, that's why there isn't any. Also, we weren't allowed to be out finding or anything Saturday, Sunday and today for the most part because everyone is celebrating and what have ya.

Here's the rest of the week:
- comp got a fever on Monday so we stayed in on pday:)

-tuesday we went to York to have lunch with Sister Voncken and sister Weight, they are the cutest and it was so fun!!

- Wednesday we had tea with my favorite Mom and Daughter duo, Di and Tracy. I always learn new vocab at their house. Mafted means you are hot. Nathered means you are cold. Knackered means you are dead tired. And a Kip is a nap. Basically, I'm knackered all the time and need a really long kip.

- also went to youth which was on the Westwood Pastures, where all the cows are!! We had to follow a compass and learn how to use the bearings on it. I now know what to do when we get lost. I'll get you home:)

- we went finding and met Stewart and also Julia!!! They were both so kind and wanted us to come back! Julia said we were an answer to her prayers because she has been looking for a church closer to her. Pray for them!! So cool!!

-okay here is Operation: Planting Seeds. We have been blessed with four pamphlets/leaflets that have been created by revelation through our mission president. We call them, "seeds". We know that we can't force anyone to accept the gospel, all we can do is plant seeds and then trust that the Holy Ghost will water them and that those who are ready will hear Him. And as we "plant" in faith, believing that every effort we give, every seed we plant will grow, we will see miracles. This is the eleventh hour. We are laborers in His vineyard, and it is truly joyful to see the miracles flow in, as we give these resources to everyone we come in contact with. And we are really focused on being where the Spirit leads us. We pray over each neighbourhood we feel like we should go to and we are meeting the coolest people!! I will attach pictures of the resources below:)

I just have a testimony that the Lord is gathering His children. We have 7 zones in the mission and I am blessed to be able to be on all of the zone chats where missionaries share miracles and experiences with those they find and what have ya. And I know without a doubt, that the Lord is gathering His children, that there are miracles and we are aiding in the greatest work on the Earth today:)

The essence of the gospel of Jesus Christ is love. Heavenly Father loves us so much that He, through His Son Jesus Christ, provided a way for us to return to Him. Because He loves us, He has given us a modern day prophet on the Earth today who leads and guides Jesus Christ's restored church on the Earth today.

My favorite leaflet that we hand out, is very simple and says, "Come Join Us". Because I'm not hear to preach, I'm not here to convert. That is not my role. I am here to invite others to come and see for themselves, to invite them to feel the prints in His hands and feet. To feel for themselves God's love for them:)

So, I'm inviting all of you, come and see for yourself:) invite someone you love to come and see.

I love my Savior. I know He lives. I know He is the Master Healer.

Love,
Sis Jepp:)

Also, shootout to the happy couple, Hunter and Jane!! Welcome to the family Jane!!! Love you!!
