This past week has been so incredibly amazing! This might be a longer email this week, so sorry ha ha. I have felt so much joy and spent the week dying laughing with my companions. On Tuesday I got transferred to Upland and got put in a trio with the STL‘s (Sister training leaders) for the week. That means we have been over a family ward and a YSA (young single adult) ward. It has been a party! Here’s the highlights; we had a great last P day with my zone. Played sports for a long time, then some board games, hit up Chick-fil-A, and ended with these amazing churros in ice cream!
-It was sad saying goodbye to Sister T, Sister Ramesh, and Sister Jones on Monday and Tuesday, so I guess that’s not a highlight-Tuesday we taught in a quad! Sister MAKUAOLE finished her mission on Wednesday, so we all taught and spent the day together which was awesome.
-We had a lesson with our friend Savannah and it was so awesome! We taught her about the restoration and invited her to be baptized and she said she would! She’s going to be baptized on September 3! So exciting!
-Got to go to a steakhouse with some members in our ward and it was so delicious! I’d say it was as good last week in America.
-I went to a ton of meetings on Thursday because I was with the STL's and it was so awesome! I just learn more and more about what I can do to be a better missionary that was super awesome.
-Miracle: on Friday night we had an idea to invite our friend Alec to go to the visitors center at the LA Temple. We thought he would love it so we invited him and he said yes! The only problem was that he had to have a member drive us because it’s the rule and LA was a good hour and 45 minutes away he called basically every single YSA member and no one could drive us. Alec said a prayer and asked to be able to find a ride then at 10:20, right before bed, one of the members texted saying they could! It was a small but significant miracle.
-LA visitors center! It was so cool! The whole trip was so fun and I loved it! Our friend Alec loved it too! He is fascinated by the temple and how big it was. The spirit was very strong and I know that my faith was strengthened from that experience.
-Sister Linton and Sister Barnes are the best! We were dying laughing every spare second we had never a doll moment with them!
-Every night we would all talk and had a great time. It felt like a giant sleepover because there was six of us including Sister Smith and sister FISI‘ IPEAU. Good stuff I love them all so much!
Overall it was amazing week and I loved every second of it. I’m sad to leave California but I’m also excited for the next adventure!!
