Sister Chloe Jeppson- Leeds England Mission : Sis. Witchanaries for a night

Happy Halloween everyone!!!!

Here's some fun facts: Halloween is a really scary holiday here. I know that people dress scary in America, but it's like everyone here has to dress scary. I am not a big fan, because most of you know, I don't do scary. Even like the cute lil girls here dress up as creepy, blood stained dead zombies and stuff, whack man.

Anyways, here's the jist of the week:

- Tuesday I was alone again!!! haha, sis. Thuernagle had another theory test and this time she passed! Yay for her, and yay for me that she had to take it again because I got to wander by myself at Teeside University again. I walk on campus and look to my right, and a guy sticks a firework on the lawn, lights it, watches it blow up in the sky and then walks away like nothing happened. And no one was bothered by it. People man. I was dying laughing. Inside of course, because I couldn't die laughing by myself because I would have looked psycho.

-very tender mercy happened at Teeside University! I said a prayer on the bus ride to Middlesbrough asking Heavenly Father if there could be a nice girl on a bench that I could talk to. I got on campus and started walking around, trying to talk to some people but no one was listening really. But then I walk by a bench, and who was sitting there? Oh, just the sweetest nice girl that God placed in my path that day. I went up and started talking to her and had a really good conversation with! She was excited when I offered her the Book of Mormon and said she would read it:) It was such a tender mercy to me because it was God saying, I know you and I am here for you:)

-oh, monday for pday we went on a hike!!! A blessed, steep hike that made me so incredibly happy. It's called Roseberry Toppins. And then after we went to Redcar and got the famous lemon tops:) A lemon top is lemon sorbet on top of vanilla ice cream. SO GOOD!!

- also did a service project with the other missionaries and we dug up trees and relocated them. Quite fun

- got kebab which is sketchy meat on a stick that sliced off with this big knife. it looks gross, sounds gross, and is nasty if you go to the sketchy roadside places they sell it at. Luckily I went to a clean, good place and it was nice:)

-had the ward trunk or treat on Friday!! That's where we were sister witchanaries haha. Witches for a night. It was so so so fun!! The other sisters were creepy twins because they look a ton alike. Everyone loved it. Shoutout to my amazing mom for sending me american candy to pass out!! The kids loved it!! Everyone kept coming back to our car asking for candy corn. Also there a ton of sour candies from America in the box my mom sent, and one of them was a toxic waste. This little boy kept asking me, ''Is this the spicest candy in America?'' I didn't have the heart to tell him no, nor that it was sour, not spicy haha, but he was jazzed about that. Also our friends from our English class came and absolutely LOVED it!! It was a huge success overall

- helped a family try and start their car, but it was the starter that went out, not the battery so Taryn, the mom, took a stick and starting whacking the inside of her car thinking it would somehow make it work again. HAHA, it didn't. Love her anyways.

-had the Book of Mormon musical again!! That was so crazy and so so fun!! Not going to lie, drunk people can be very funny. Overall, it was such a special and cool experience to take part in this!! Over the two weeks of shows, we handed out over 3,000 Book of Mormon pamphlets to people and talked to so many amazing people!!

-oh also, hit my five months yesterday!! Crazy!!!
