Zone Conference

 Hiya everyone!!

This week went way too fast and it was also very stressful but it was SO GOOD!!!
Let me tell you about it:)

-We visited a lot of members this week which was fun:)

-I am looking back at my journal, and it's mostly filled with prepping for zone conference and stressing out haha so ya

-For zone conference, me and Sister Sousa had to give a training to all the missionaries and we didn't know what to do it on. So it was a lot of praying and counseling and trying to figure out what Heavenly Father wanted us to teach these sweet missionaries

-it ended up going very well at zone conference and the Spirit was so strong!! I saw the promise in D&C 100:4-8 fulfilled, that as I ''speak the thoughts that He puts into my heart, I shall not be confounded, and it shall be given me in the very hour, yea in the very moment, what I shall say'' I paraphrased pertaining to me, but the point being that I really had no idea what to say but the Spirit told me what to say. And it went great!! I testify that God speaks to us through the Holy Ghost!!

-I also had to play the piano at zone conference, and at the beginning the heating wasn't on in the church and my fingers were numb, so I missed like half the notes, but I was for sure carried because no one said I messed up. And I did.

- FINALLY GOT WEIGHTS!! This is big. for some reason, none of the sisters flats have weights. like why? I am not sure, don't get me started haha. It's like they think only guys work out haha. Anywho, we finally got weights and it was so exciting, but I forgot that when you haven't worked out like you used to, you get sore very easily. And now, I can't even move haha. its awesome.

-we were walking back from running an errand at the store and there is this cute girl walking in front of us. Then after a bit she turns around, COMES TO US, and talks to us!! It was so sweet and we had a really good conversation about how God is there for her and does know what she is going through. Tender mercy.

-went to York on Saturday to take Sister Soares and Sister Periera out for lunch. We went to the Shambles which is this street food court and it was so amazing. The street is what inspired parts of Harry Potter.

-got a makeover done. A friend of ours loves doing makeup and so we thought, to cheer her up, we would let her do our makeup. All things considered, she did a really good job, I just do not like makeup one bit, so I took it off as soon as I got home haha, classic. I can see Mom laughing as she reads this.

-ate these two GIANT mushrooms covered in goat cheese, they were the main course of a tea appointment and woah. They weren't necessarily bad, but I did have to really try and not think of anything or else I would have thrown up.

-on Sunday, we went around and visited this member and it was super brief, so we had more time to visit someone else. We were led to visit this one woman that missionaries hadn't seen in a while. And we know that God led us there that day and we were on His errand because it couldn't have been a better time for us to come. Within three seconds of us being in her house, she broke down crying and told us all about her past and how she has been having the hardest week ever. We just listened and talked with her and were able to bring her hope and peace and to pray with her. She said we were a God send that day. It was a tender mercy.

-fun things:
-pheasants DO NOT get out of the middle of the road. they are the silliest animals and pretty not there in the head.
-no i didn't hit a pheasant, don't worry
-there are wild daffodils EVERYWHERE here
-the fields are so green, like neon
-if it downpours one minute, it is sunny the next, and then back to rain
-took a covid test because a member we ate with told us the next day she had covid, don't have it haha

Last thing, thought this was the coolest:

Twelve years ago yesterday, I was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Now, I have made a lot of good decisions, a lot of great decisions, and only a few ''best'' decisions, one of them being to serve a mission, but THE BEST decision I have ever made was to be baptized in Jesus Christ's restored church on the earth today. Because without this first decision, at 8 years old, none of these other good, great or best decisions would have been a possibility. Making my first covenant with my Father in Heaven has changed my life. Truly. I know in whom I have trusted. I will always remember my Savior, I will keep His commandments, and I will and do take upon me the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ. Always and forever, I will be true. I love my Savior! And I love being a missionary!!

Love,
Sis Jepp:)
