1500 Miles on Pablo

 Hiya everyone!!!

Hope all is well and everyone is enjoying the heat and sun over there. Yesterday, we had our first day of sun in over three weeks, and it felt strange. About mid way through the day I realized it felt strange because it felt like America, and it was because of the sun haha. It's funny how my brain now associates sun with America and rain with England.

But anywho, yes our car is named Pablo. And in the first 2 weeks we put over 1500 miles on Pablo. Our area is massive and we drive A TON. And I am the only driver, which can be tiring, but I also love it so no complaints here:)

Ok, this week was jam packed with amazing things:

-for pday we went to Penshaw Monument and got lunch in Newcastle! It was really fun. We got poke bowls!!!

-Tuesday was zone conference!! It was absolutely amazing! My companion has a beautiful voice and she wanted me to accompany her on the piano, and it actually went super well so that's happy!!

-We had a branch beach trip at Druridge Bay. We got to have s'mores, and go dune sledding!! We also put our feet in the North Sea which was so so so cold, all of them swam in it!! It was crazy! But so fun!!

-we made a new friend who is so sweet! It was also a miracle!! We taught her the Plan of Salvation on the doorstep and it moved her to tears!! We are going to meet with her again this coming week:)

-got stuck in standstill traffic for an hour. Remember how I told you there are no on ramps on the dual carriageway? And people can cross it? Yep, someone got hit really bad because they thought they could cross it in time.

-went to a ton of small villages and beach towns finding!!

-taught our sweetest ever recent converts who are so amazing!!

-then it was Friday and it was the British Pageant!! We took the coach with our stake down 3 hours to Preston! It was on the tempe grounds. It was one of the sweetest moments of my mission. The Pageant tells the story of the first missionaries to arrive in England and the first saints in England. It was very powerful. It was during this show that I realized I will miss England so much. I absolutely love everything about this beautiful country. The places, the culture, and most especially the people. I have met some of the most faithful saints ever here and my heart will break leaving England.

-at the pageant I got to see the Strouds, Jackie Greener, the  Nolans, and  the Willis from Darlington!! Oh how it made my day! It was such a tender mercy and so good to see these sweet people who have been my family here!

-we had another sweet lesson with a new friend!! She was asking so many amazing questions. She kept asking, "Why am I just finding out about the Book of Mormon at age 56?", "Why could I not have learned all of this way before?" Thats not fair!! She wanted to know everything and is just so amazing!!

From the people we met this week, like our sweet friend with the questions, to the experiences I had with the pagaent and zone conference, it had me thinking a lot about my testimony.

Recently, I have learned that truth is the greatest expression of love. And God has given us the full truth on the earth today through the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Who God is, who I am as His daughter, who my Savior is. All of these truths that allow me to feel the love that my Heavenly Father has for me and for each one of us. And through the restoration, these are three truths that I hold very dear to me. The knowledge and true identity of who God is. His power and authority on the earth today. And the gift of the Holy Ghost that He has given us. Knowing these three things has brought me all peace in this life. And knowing that it is through Jesus Christ that we are able to reach God, that it is through Him that we are able to receive the Holy Ghost.

I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father that has given us the truth of all things!!!

Love,
Sis. Jepp:)
